Here are the five biggest questions from this week’s WWE RAW, NXT, and SmackDown this week.

#5. Why did WWE separate New Day again?

Last year’s WWE Draft saw The New Day split up as Big E was drafted to SmackDown while Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods moved to RAW. The move was seen as a good one by many fans as it allowed Big E to go on a solo run after remaining a team player for long.

Big E went on to become Mr. Money in the Bank earlier this year. He finally defeated Bobby Lashley to become the WWE Champion for the first time in his career.

The WWE Championship victory effectively moved Big E to the red brand and reunited him with Woods and Kingston. However, WWE decided to split the team up once again during this year’s draft and moved New Day to SmackDown.

Why is WWE keeping Big E away from Kofi and Woods? Will the company change Big E’s gimmick soon and completely separate him from New Day? Is WWE looking to give Big E a proper solo run without the interference of his buddies?

It would have been good to see New Day work with Big E for some time on RAW. However, it looks like WWE has some other plans for the new champion who could undergo a character change during his title reign.

#4. What is WWE looking to do with Keith Lee and Karrion Kross on RAW?

Keith “Bearcat” Lee returned to WWE RAW after some time away from the ring. He defeated Akira Tozawa with ease to make another statement on the brand.

Meanwhile, Karrion Kross cut a backstage promo before ripping through Jaxson Ryker in the ring. Both men are former NXT Champions and were dominating during their time on the Black and Gold brand.

Why are the two superstars competing in squash matches on RAW? Shouldn’t one of the two have entered the WWE Championship picture to challenge Big E?

WWE will need to build Kross and Lee as dominant forces on RAW and SmackDown. Squash matches will only help the two men stay busy for some time.

#3. Why is Isaiah “Swerve” Scott not defending his NXT North American Championship?

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott defeated Bronson Reed to win the WWE NXT North American Championship in late June. Since his victory, Scott has only competed in one tag team match against Legado Del Fantasma.

Meanwhile, he has not defended his NXT North American Championship even once since his win. Why isn’t WWE building a championship storyline for Scott? Will his inability to defend his title affect the value of the NXT North American Championship?

Hit Row has already been drafted to SmackDown and Scott is yet to make his first title defense. Santos Escobar is the front runner to take on Scott for the title. However, WWE will need to book their match sooner rather than later to keep the action ticking.

#2. Why aren’t Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch feuding with Ridge Holland and Pete Dunne on WWE NXT?

Ridge Holland and Pete Dunne attacked Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch after they failed to win the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships from MSK a few weeks ago. The angle helped split the two teams apart for good.

This week on NXT, Oney Lorcan returned to competition and took a loss from Xyon Quinn. Why didn’t Lorcan and Burch go after the two men who attacked them a few weeks ago?

It makes little sense that the two heels decided to move away from Dunne and Holland rather than go after them and get a few matches against them. WWE should have booked at least one contest between the two teams before ending the storyline.

#1. Why did Edge and Beth Phoenix leave their door unlocked?

Seth Rollins appeared on WWE SmackDown a couple of weeks ago and threatened Edge. He told The Rated-R Superstar to face him once again or he would beat him down in front of his family.

Edge appeared on SmackDown this week to address Rollins’ challenge. However, the self-proclaimed Drip God already made his way to Edge’s house and found the front door unlocked.

Why did Edge and Beth Phoenix leave the door unlocked and the light on knowing Rollins is after them? Should WWE have used some other angle to make him enter their house to make it more believable?

Superstars have loved to target each other’s families during some grudge rivalries. However, WWE could have done a better job by making the angle a little more believable.
