WWE Draft: 5 opponents for Seth Rollins if he moves to RAW – Putting over a new champion and reigniting an old rivalry?

Seth Rollins is one such superstar who garners a compelling response from the WWE Universe like few others do. Be it his in-ring action or promos, the audience is always captivated.

A former two-time WWE Champion, two-time Universal Champion, six-time Tag Team Champion and a Royal Rumble winner, Rollins has achieved it all.

The Friday Night Messiah has portrayed heel and babyface characters with extreme finesse and versatility. He is amongst the very best the current WWE roster has to offer.

His latest ‘Embrace the Vision’ persona on SmackDown as a self-absorbed heel is worth every praise, having been a part of engaging storylines with two babyfaced superstars in Cesaro and Edge.

With the WWE Draft scheduled on SmackDown this week, followed by RAW on Monday, things are certainly going to shake up. This is the most unsettling time for any WWE superstar as their fate hangs in the balance. Ask wrestlers of the past, and they will whole-heartedly agree.

Let’s look at five opponents that Seth Rollins could feud with if drafted to Monday Night RAW.

#5 Jeff Hardy vs. Seth Rollins

A feud with Seth Rollins would be perfect for Jeff Hardy to be part of a meaningful storyline on RAW. Apart from the triple threat match for the United States Championship involving Damian Priest and Sheamus at Extreme Rules, the Charismatic Enigma has not been in any noteworthy rivalry off-late.

The two superstars have had engaging feuds in the past, with the most recent being when Jeff gate-crashed Rollins’ farewell speech on the October 12 episode of RAW.

Their acrobatic maneuvers and high flying skills in the ring will certainly be a treat for the WWE Universe. Truth be told, Jeff’s recent exploits on RAW have been more mid-card, and feuding with a main-eventer like Rollins will certainly elevate his career.

#4 Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins

If Seth Rollins does move to the red brand, a title opportunity could always be around the corner. Damian Priest could start a new rivalry with Rollins following the end of his feud with Sheamus for the United States Championship.

A feud with The Messiah will certainly put The Archer of Infamy over as he carves his niche on RAW. Seth has held the U.S. title only once and wouldn’t mind recapturing it. This would also be the first time the two superstars compete against each other.

#3 Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins

Randy Orton and Seth Rollins’ rivalry has been well documented in the past with their epic showdown at WrestleMania 31 in 2015, where the Viper prevailed with a jaw-breaking RKO.

Having said this, their paths haven’t collided recently, and if the Messiah moves to RAW, this rivalry surely could be reignited.

Randy Orton is currently part of RK-Bro with Riddle, albeit a singles match against Seth Rollins is too good a treat not to savor for the Viper. This contest pinning Randy as a babyface and Rollins as a heel will be one for the ages.

#2 Bobby Lashley vs. Seth Rollins

A battle with the All Mighty could be an exciting proposition for Seth Rollins if drafted to RAW. The two stalwarts collided at the end of 2018 when Rollins was a babyface and Lashley a heel.

A lot has changed since then. Bobby Lashley has sided with MVP to form the Hurt Business, while Rollins has turned in a vicious scheming heel.

Lashley is still reeling from his title loss, and his frustration holds no bounds. A feud with Rollins could be the perfect way to channelise this frustration in a battle pitting arguably the two biggest heels in the business. An enticing one, to say the least.

#1 Big E vs. Seth Rollins

The chance to be world champion again is definitely on the radar for Seth Rollins. Following an unsuccessful attempt for Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship on SmackDown, Seth would most certainly want to challenge Big E for the WWE Championship if drafted to RAW.

The two had squared off earlier on NXT in 2013, when Big E conquered Rollins to become the new NXT Champion. Revenge would be bitter-sweet for Seth if he could dethrone Big E to become WWE Champion. Having said this, Drew McIntyre has also put his hand up for the title after Big E beat Bobby Lashley in the latest edition of RAW.

With the future of all superstars looking uncertain as the WWE Draft approaches, things could get very interesting in the days that follow.
