5 things that must happen on WWE RAW, NXT, and SmackDown this week
Big E cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to win the WWE Championship last week on RAW. The victory allowed him his first world championship in WWE.
Meanwhile, Jeff Hardy failed to defeat Damian Priest for the United States Championship. Priest had offered Hardy the chance to fight him for the title. After the match, Sheamus attacked both men before being taken out by The Archer of Infamy.
NXT ushered in a new era and hosted a title match to crown the new champion. Tommaso Ciampa defeated three other men to win his second NXT Championship.
Bron Breakker made an impressive debut on NXT, while The Creed Brothers continued to destroy another tag team. KUSHIDA returned to the show and accepted Roderick Strong’s challenge for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.
Big E showed up on SmackDown with the WWE Championship. He teamed up with Finn Balor to defeat The Usos in a non-title match. Liv Morgan nearly broke Carmella’s nose on the show. She challenged The Most Beautiful Woman in WWE to a match at Extreme Rules.
Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez attacked Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs after the latter won a match. Nakamura will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Crews this week.
Take a look at the five things that must happen on RAW, NXT, and SmackDown this week.
#5. The New Day must defeat The Bloodline on WWE RAW
— WWE (@WWE) September 18, 2021
WWE announced a huge match between The New Day and The Bloodline on this week’s RAW. Roman Reigns and The Usos will be on the Red brand to give the show a boost.
The New Day is the premiere faction on RAW. It would be good to see the two top factions of RAW and SmackDown go head to head days before Extreme Rules.
Reigns has had all the momentum over the past several months. Meanwhile, The Usos recently took a loss from Big E and Balor on SmackDown. WWE must allow Big E to shine on Monday to help his team pick up the win.
Big E must hit the final move on one of the Usos to pick up the victory and give himself and his team a big boost. He recently won the WWE Championship, and the company needs to give him some big moments and victories to make him come across as a top champion.
#4. Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley must have a face-off on WWE RAW
As mentioned earlier, The New Day and The Bloodline will compete in a massive tag team match on RAW. Regardless of the outcome, WWE will have a chance to build towards two big matches and give fans a huge face-off.
After the match between The New Day and The Bloodline, Bobby Lashley must come out to attack Big E. He must beat down Big E and the rest of the New Day to build towards a rematch for the WWE Championship at Extreme Rules.
Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar must arrive to attack Roman Reigns or The Usos. Reigns and Lesnar are set to do battle at WWE Crown Jewel.
During the chaos, fans must get an epic face-off between The Beast Incarnate and The All-Mighty. This can help the company increase the fans’ interest in its product and also tease a massive contest for the future.
The overall angle will also help build hype towards the upcoming WWE Draft. Fans can look forward to Lesnar and Lashley working on the same brand next month.
#3. Bron Breakker must pick up another big victory on WWE NXT

A brand new NXT kicked off last Tuesday to offer fans something different. Right away, fans were introduced to NXT’s newest powerhouse, Bron Breakker.
The newcomer challenged former Million Dollar Champion LA Knight to a match. LA Knight was the bigger star in the contest. However, WWE allowed Breakker to dominate with ease.
In the end, Breakker impressed the WWE Universe with his strength and delivered a body slam to pick up the win. Later in the night, Breakker confronted the new NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa to end the show.
WWE did well to build the newcomer after his debut. This week, the company must allow him to pick up another victory over a notable star. Just like LA Knight, WWE must give him a match against a big superstar rather than a local competitor.

A quick victory will allow Breakker to build himself on the brand and, soon, get in contention for the NXT title. He looks like someone who can get over with the WWE Universe in the months to come.
#2. Roderick Strong must become the new WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion
"YOU TALK TOO MUCH!"
— WWE NXT (@WWENXT) September 15, 2021
The rivalry between Roderick Strong and KUSHIDA should have come to an end on WWE NXT. However, an injury forced KUSHIDA to stay away from the ring.
The NXT Cruiserweight Champion returned to confront Diamond Mine last Tuesday. Malcolm Bivens wasted little time in making the championship match between Strong and KUSHIDA official for next week.
The Timestopper hasn’t had the best of title reigns since his victory over Santos Escobar. He has defended his title once against Carmelo Hayes, and the injury has affected his momentum. Meanwhile, Roderick Strong needs to pick up a few victories to make his faction look stronger.
On this week’s show, WWE must allow Strong to defeat KUSHIDA with the help of his faction. The victory will allow Diamond Mine to come across as a threatening faction.
Meanwhile, the company could look to move KUSHIDA to the main roster. The WWE Draft is coming up, and KUSHIDA could find himself on RAW or SmackDown soon.
#1. Commander Azeez must interfere in the match between Shinsuke Nakamura and Apollo Crews on WWE SmackDown
Rick Boogs continued his winning streak by defeating Robert Roode on SmackDown. After the match, Boogs celebrated alongside Shinsuke Nakamura and Pat McAfee.
Right then, Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez attacked Boogs and Nakamura. Crews cut a promo following the attack to make his intentions clear.
Crews will have a rematch this week for the Intercontinental Championship. During the contest, WWE must allow Azeez to interfere and cause a disqualification.
Boogs must then showcase his power and take Azeez out to end the segment. The angle must lead to an Intercontinental Championship match between The King of Strong Style and Crews at Extreme Rules.

Nakamura hasn’t had a good title defense since winning the championship. He has also not had a pay-per-view match for some time.
A successful title defense on a big stage will help make Nakamura’s reign more special and end his rivalry with Crews. He could end up getting into a better rivalry in the weeks to come.
